Pappa al Pomodoro
Here you will find the original recipe of our precious and most famous “Pappa al Pomodoro”
Let’s start now!
300 gr of stale home bread nb: must necessarily be stale, otherwise it will never be the real tomato soup 🙂
500 g of ripe tomatoes
2 cloves of garlic
Basil, olive oil, salt and pepper
Brown the garlic slowly in the oil
Add the chopped tomatoes and plenty of basil
Add salt and cook for 15 minutes
Then pour boiling water and the bread cut into small pieces
Cook for another 10/15 minutes turning often to completely sfare the bread.
Turn off the heat and serve warm with olive oil and chilli pepper.
